My foundation course at the University of The Arts in London turned me off art for about ten years. I spent this time behind various office desks doodling illicitly, wondering what I should really be doing with my time. Eventually it became clear I wanted to give the art another go. I went to Greece, to the island of Paros, where I spent 7 months studying at the Aegean Center for The Fine Arts under the brilliant Jane Pack. And consequently returned to the field.
I specialise in storyboarding and illustrative work, including maps, portraits (animal or human) and paintings of subjects dear to the client, such as their home or wedding venue. I adore life drawing and attend classes regularly; overall I would say my work, whatever the medium or subject, focuses on drawing. I also have a parallel interest in more crafty ventures such as bookbinding and knitting, which you can see under my blog category Handmade Things.
