I had a terrifying experience yesterday, namely looking after my friend Emily’s baby for an hour while she was in a meeting. Myself and little Olive sat in a cafe while I drew her. That bit was lovely; then the eyes half-opened and in such a position she continued to lie for about 20 minutes while I, terrified, jiggled the pram as instructed to keep her from opening them any further. Eventually she went back to sleep and I drew a tea cup to calm my nerves.
