On the train to London for work, musing over my recent troubles with sketching. I worry that storyboarding has made me too impatient to handle a longer drawing.

It was way too cold for the allotted 2hrs of drawing; after managing that one I produced worse and worse work until I gave up and went off for hot chocolate. I am clearly a fair weather sketcher. These are garden plans I painted for the recently published RHS Companion to Scented Gardens by Stephen Lacey. I was given the layout and plant names and then maxed out my Pinterest saving pictures of each one to refer back to. I enjoyed this job – orderliness and plants, a satisfying combination for a control-freak nature lover like myself.
and sunny garden.
I was asked to just do the end frames for a scene in a Lycra commercial, shot by Philippe Andre, as part of their ‘Lycra Moves You’ campaign.
Key frames for the M&S 2014 Autumn Back to School campaign.. some very cute ads here directed by Si&Ad at Academy.
